Today, for breakfast I had Shakeology.. same recipe (the pineapple and coconut flakes one).
For lunch, I'm not so proud of. Caleb and I went to a birthday party and I had a piece of fried chicken, strawberries, grapes, a Dixie cup full of sangria, a macaroon, and a cupcake. All of it I shared with Caleb, minus the sangria of course. No picture. Sigh, I still got all of my supplements in for the day and still drank all of my water. For dinner, I got right back on the program.. so I'm not gonna beat myself up about it so much. I had planned to go to this birthday party way before I planned to do this cleanse, and I didn't want to come off as rude or snobby by declining the food that they worked hard to provide us with. I mean, I know if I was throwing a party and had food made or ordered.. I'd want my guests to eat, and not be stuck with a whole bunch of leftovers. I don't have any other parties coming up, so I should be good for the rest of the cleanse.
Dinner was a roasted root medley (yam, carrot, beet, onion.. tossed in olive oil and himalayan salt, and baked) and zucchini cashew soup. The medley is something I would definitely have again, maybe even make it as a side dish for thanksgiving or something. The soup was not the best soup I've ever had. I didn't like the fact that it was still nutty. Maybe if I added more liquid or less cashews, or maybe I need a food processor because I just used my blender. I do have a Ninja though, so it blended pretty well.. probably better than a regular blender would. I just prefer creamy or more broth based soups.
Well, gotta hit the hay.. it's already 10:55pm and I have work at 8:30am tomorrow.
Love,
Tiare
