PiYo Results

What is PiYo?
PiYo is a home workout program without jumps, without weights, and without joint strain. Using body weight, PiYo uses low-impact, high-intensity movements inspired by pilates and yoga.

How long are the PiYo workouts?
20-45 min long

What type of results can you expect with PiYo?
Long, lean, muscles, a high, firm booty, and tight, flat, sexy abs. PiYo will work every single muscle to stabilize, stretch, and strengthen every inch of your body.. and since Chalene Johnson cranked up the speed and the fun, crazy calories will be burned too!

Now that all the technical stuff is out of the way, here's my PiYo transformation story:

So, I have been waiting and waiting to talk about my PiYo journey with you all! I had 60 days of eating (almost) clean, drinking Shakeology, and following the PiYo schedule. I am going to be totally honest... I was very skeptical on even getting results with PiYo because I feel like I need to burn more calories in order to get results.

I took my Day 1 pics and measurements and was disgusted of course, but knew what I was doing is better than nothing. I did the workouts every day, followed somewhat of a meal plan, (had a few cheat meals along the way). During the workouts, I actually did get a sweat in, and I was surprised towards the end of the program with how much more flexible and stronger I was, which is what I wanted!

Random pic of me and Caleb after a PiYo workout! He's so funny, I catch him randomly doing yoga poses every now and then.. it's so cute, lol.

Day 30 came and it was time to take my pics and measurements. I was very nervous because I didn't feel my body changed a whole lot... but on the scale, it moved 6 lbs. After looking at my Day 1 and Day 30 pictures, I could tell a little tiny bit how my body changed and looked more defined.

After Day 30 (I'm aware the picture says Day 28), I was so ready to continue! I really was happy about my results, but then I went on a vacation to visit my family in Hawaii. I continued PiYo and Shakeology the 1st week I was there, but the 2nd week was where I backslid and slacked off on nutrition. I didn't let that stop me when I got back though! I want to show people that it's possible, even if you have set backs.. to keep pushing and start fresh!

Flexin' my baby biceps!

Okay, here are the final results!

I didn't lose any more weight or inches after Day 30, but that's okay. I still see more definition and that only motivates me to push harder when I start Round 2 of PiYo tomorrow! I'm pretty pleased with the results I got from Chalene Johnson's PiYo workout. It doesn't matter if you're just starting your fitness journey, if you need to lose those last 10 lbs, or if you need to get off a plateau you've hit.. PiYo will give you results!

Things I Don't Want to Forget

The way you point and say "this?" at all of the same things you walk by when we go outside every single time, and we tell you what it is.

The way I say a random line from one of your books and you go and pick out the exact book I'm reciting from.

The way you back your little booty up to me and sit in my lap, as if I were your personal chair, while you're watching tv.

Your cheese face, when you see a camera pointed at you.

How you've started falling asleep on our shoulders or chests again before we put you to bed. I just love the feeling of your head against me, it reminds me of your newborn days.

When we say the name of an animal and you say the sound each one makes.

When you run up to me and give me a hug and a kiss, those are the best :)

How you call us "mimi and daddy".

When you've had enough of your juice and your meal, but I want you to eat a little bit more, you say "no" in your cute little voice and turn your head to the side.

Look Who's 18 Months Old!

Well, to be exact, lil' man turned 18 months old last month.. lol. Here he is playing at an indoor playground I took him to. We went with a friend of mine & her daughter. He loved it there, lots of toys to play with.. didn't even care for the slides, lol. He loved playing basketball. I would lift him up in the air so that he could reach the hoop & he'd throw it in.

This was taken before his 18 month checkup. He's so cute. He talks a lot more now too. I'll have to make a video of him talking some day, if he ever lets me.. lol. Every time I hit record, he comes up to my phone & grabs it from me.. or he says "cheese!" thinking I'm taking a picture of him. He loves to take his own selfies, smh.. kids these days, lol.

Caleb & his daddy, watching tv. Can't believe how big he's gotten. He's becoming such a little boy now. Where has my little baby gone!?

Since it's getting late, I'm keeping this short.. just wanted a quick update. Kind of. Not really an update..? Just random.

Hugs,

Sleeping Like A Baby...

Sometimes I just want to sit and take in all the preciousness of my sleeping little one...

I know he will be getting even bigger and I just really want to stare at him and enjoy every moment of being able to look at his precious little baby face, so peacefully sleeping.

That's about all I wanted to say right now, I'm kind of tired and I want to be sleeping like a baby too! Lol.

Off to take a nap,

Our Favorite Things: 12 month edition

So here we are, the 12 month edition. Toddler toys!

I probably won't continue to do these Favorite Things post anymore, because well.. it probably won't be as fun doing this every few months or so. He's already a year old, the 1st year is always the fastest I hear and I just wanted to document as much as I could during the year. But.. who knows, maybe when he turns 2, I'll be bored and might document his 2 year favorites.. lol, but I doubt it. Enjoy!

Disney Mickey Playtime Ride On

OMG he freaking loves this thing. He is so close to walking, and I think this toy has really helped. He will pull up on it, and then walk across the house. It has lots of lights and colors and sounds, which he loves. There's variety, so it says more than just a few things. My only problem is Caleb not letting the sound play all the way through, he just pushes on the button over and over, so it sounds like a broken record.. lol. Mike and I have all of the sounds his toys make drilled into our heads, lol.

Bright Starts Having A Ball Pop 'n Rock Pirate Ship

He got this for his birthday from one of my besties. Thanks Heather! It's great because it has a trap door and plays sounds. His favorite part is the little cannonball, it shoots the balls out when you push down on the little orange part where the ball goes in. He crawls over to the ball that comes out and puts it back in. He also likes to put the ball in the trap door and you can make the ship tilt and the ball will roll down the slide at the other end.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Don't worry, we try not to sit our kid in front of the TV all day long. But, sometimes we just need a little peace and quiet, and this colorful show with colorful ass characters gives us that. He LOVES them. The minute he hears Mickey say, "Hi everybody! It's Mickey Mouse!" he turns right around and watches. He doesn't watch the entire show, but he will watch most of it and gets excited whenever songs come on.

Gerber Lil' Crunchies

Baby crack right here folks. He would seriously eat a whole container in one sitting if we let him. He loves these so much. They are kind of like cheese puffs for babies. I know they are junk food, so he only gets them every so often. We've only tried the Cheddar and the Garden Vegetable flavors. He likes the cheddar one better.

Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat

As much as we wanted (well, I wanted.. I dunno what Mike wanted) another Eddie Bauer car seat, Graco was just much more affordable. And you know what? We love it. And seriously, this thing seems so much safer than his infant car seat. I feel like this seat does not budge what so ever. His infant one kind of slid around sometimes because of the leather seats in our car and we never bothered to get one of those mats to go under it. Mike and I love it, Caleb loves it. It's awesome and he looks pretty presidential sitting in it. Chillin, arms on the rests, feet danglin, cup holder on the side.. lol. He really does love that thing.

So there you have it. A few of our 12 month favorites, and the last of this series!

Love,
Tiare

ONE YEAR OLD!! How is motherhood going?

Caleb is so much fun these days. I'm excited that walking and talking and playing are all just around the corner.

At 12 months, Caleb says a lot of "ahhhhhs" and "da-das". We think he says "mommy," but he just says the "m-y" part of it. He says "juice" a lot, and "mmmmm!" when he is eating. He can "mum" when he is hungry. He can shake his head no when he doesn't want to do something or when we tell him not to do something.

He has also started to show us that he knows things by pointing. He can point to his nose and other people's noses. He can also kiss babies in books, and kiss people when they ask for a kiss. When I sing "Let's take a bath.." he looks toward the bathroom and gets super excited.

Anyway, we started giving him cow's milk (about 16 oz a day). He drinks a bottle before his nap and a bottle before bed. We've tried giving him milk in a zippy cup, but he doesn't like it. I think it's the fact that he associates milk with a bottle and thinks it's weird coming from a sippy, because he seems to do just fine drinking juice or water from it. He still wakes up for a night feeding from time to time. I think it just depends on how much he ate during the day and how active he was. He doesn't wake up if we feed him more frequently or if we go out somewhere. He's knocked out the whole night after a long day.

He has taken 2-3 steps at a time and is good at standing up on his own in the middle of a room when we let him go. He seems a little lazy though, he sits back down after realizing he's been standing for a minute.. lol.

Caleb has started to become a picky eater, which I hear is totally normal. He's really into wanting to try adult food these days. He's always wanting to pick at our plates. He has yet to turn down cheese, so I'd say that's his favorite food. He also seems to really like yogurt and bread. We get him to eat veggies and he loves meat. I think he's very diverse in his choice of foods. Sometimes he even offers me food now as well, lol.

We are down to napping pretty much once a day, but that changes every now and then. He kind of just goes with the flow. Some days he takes two 2-hour naps and other days he takes one 30 min nap and sometimes he takes one 3-hour nap. I never really get to be home with him during the day, but Mike keeps me updating on day to day things. I miss them when I'm at work all the time! The only real time I get to spend with Caleb is after I come home from work, but even then it's not much time. I get home around 6pm and he's asleep by 8:30pm most nights.

Anyway, if you couldn't tell by the pictures.. we cut his hair again! It was right before Christmas. I miss his curly hair. He still looks cute without it though! Looks much older without the curls. Dada cut it and he did a great job.

Running out of things to say, so I'll leave with some pictures from his birthday...

XOXO,
Tiare
