Fill in the Blank Friday.

1. If money wasn't an issue, the first thing I'd cross off my life list is a trip somewhere out the country. Somewhere tropical? Greece? London? Any of those will do! I've never been out of the USA & I'd love to change that ASAP!

2. Brussel sprouts are something I like that other people think is weird.

3. If my life were a movie right now, the title would be The Amazingly Boring Life of Tiare. Lol.

4. Three things I am looking forward to this month are hanging out with my husband, going to the gym again, and going to an Atlanta Falcons game.

5. My favorite song to sing in the shower is any song that's in my head at the moment! However, I don't really sing in the shower anymore.

6. If I found out that the production of Zaxby's Birthday Cake Shake was ending this month, I'd go out buy as much as I could tomorrow.

7. One thing I'll never grow tired of is hearing my husband tell me he loves me :)

1. What is your favorite color?

I really love all shades & tints of blue.

2. If you could go on vacation to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Whenever I hear this question my first thought is always either DISNEY or Hawaii (I love Disneyland, but I've never been to Disney World... so I'd love to go there. & I'm from Hawaii, so it's always good to go home!) But, at this very moment... my answer is Disney World!

3. Can you speak another language? If not, would you want to? Which one?

I sadly cannot. I took Spanish I & II & the beginning of III in high school and don't remember a thing :( Well, I remember some words & phrases... but I'm not fluent. If I could speak another language fluently it would be Ilocano/Tagalog. 

4. Salty or sweet?

I like SWEET, but lately I've been craving SALTY :)

5. Where is the furthest place you have been from home?

New York City

6. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

When I was little my favorites were Care Bears and all the Nickelodeon cartoons!

When I graduated from college :)

I don't know. I can miss shows when they air, as long as I've got it recording... I'm good.

Fill in the Blank Friday.

Happy Friday! :)

1. The last thing I ate was a bacon, egg, & cheese McGriddle + hash brown + orange juice. It was my first time ordering something new from McDonalds' breakfast menu. I always get the egg McMuffin meal, but I was craving pancakes today so I decided to try it. It wasn't the same, I thought it was too sweet.

2. The last song I listened to was "Fall For Your Type" by Jamie Foxx.

3. Using the letters in my name I can spell (Tiare)... are, era, it, air, irate, rate, tie, tier, rat, tire, ate, art, tar, eat, ear, tear, tea. Okay, that's all I got...

4. If I had to dress in one color for the rest of my life I would pick PLEASE don't make me choose!

5. If you were to look in my bag right now you'd find lip balm, wallet, keys, 3 different kinds of pens, 2 different kinds of lip gloss, mirror, & oil blotting sheets.

6. When I finish filling in the blanks I'm going to eat lunch :)

7. My all time favorite song to dance to is "Party Up" by DMX. Oldie, but it always makes me want to dance :)

BATMAN: I love all 3 of Christopher Nolan's movies, they are definitely my favorites. I am a huge Batman fan.

Home Alone 2: I love Christmas movies and this is one of my favorites.

The Devil Wears Prada: Meryl Streep is one of my favorite actresses and this is one of my favorites of her films.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion: This is one of my favorite "chick flicks". This movie is hilarious.

The Sound of Music: I watched this movie hundreds of times and I LOVE it! :)

Aladdin: If you know me, you know I'm a Disney fanatic and this is my favorite Disney movie. I just love it!

Clueless: I could never get enough of this movie.

Inception: Great movie.

Bridesmaids: Funny movie!

D2 The Mighty Ducks: I like this one the best.

The Lion King: Another Disney favorite. I love this movie and its soundtrack.

Cool Runnings: It's just an awesome movie! Hilarious!

The Hunger Games: I was OBSESSED with the books, so of course I love this movie.

Day 4: Your parents.

Let me tell you about Paul and Carolyn Alo...

He was born on August 22, 1967. She was born on April 12, 1968. My parents have been together for 25 years, married for 20 years. They met at a gas station. My mom was working there and he went in to pay for some gas. They got married on August 15, 1992, four years after I was born. Three years later my sister, Malia, was born and then five years after her came my other sister, Kiana.

Facts about my dad:

1. He is currently unemployed.
2. He has 1 older brother and 1 younger sister.
3. He was born and raised in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
4. He used to be into fixing up cars and installing car sound systems.
5. He is definitely a local boy at heart.
6. When he was in high school, he played the trombone.
7. He likes to watch TV.
8. He never played any sports in high school.
9. The one odd song I've heard him sing to is "Dreaming of You" by Selena.
10. His favorite color is green.

1. She is an assistant scan coordinator for Albertsons.

I'm going the celebrity route. Laugh if you must, but I'm going with Jonathan Taylor Thomas (aka JTT). When I was a little girl I was OBSESSED with this kid!

The child who hit it big with his role as Tim Allen's son on Home Improvement. His other hit movies include: Man of the House, I'll be Home For Christmas, Disney's The Lion King (he was the voice of little Simba), and Wild America.

I was crazy about this kid. I watched the movies, had the posters, etc. Lol, so funny.

Music Tuesdays

I think that no matter who the popular artists are, the new trends, and the cool radio stations, I always go back to a similar type of music. Of course, I enjoy listening to Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, but when I feel like truly listening to music, I always turn to my favorites.

I thought it would be fun to post an artist I'm currently listening to. Maybe it'll turn into a fun new weekly music post.

Right now I'm listening to Mariah Carey. I loved her music as a child. Her newest songs aren't all that great to me, so most of the time I listen to her oldies. Either way, she's talented and has a strong voice.

Daydreaming of Pretty Things

This week is going to busy because our lease is up at the end of the month and I need to clean the house before inspection. This should be fun. Hear the sarcasm in my voice?

Right now I'm procrastinating though, writing this blog, checking Facebook, and doing a little online window shopping.

Lately, I've just been ready for the Fall weather to arrive. Living in the south this summer has not been pleasant: mid to high 90s everyday, combined with humidity. Let me tell ya, I cannot wait for the first day when I walk out my house, and feel a cool crisp breeze outside.

Of course, things about Fall got me thinking about shopping! :)

I have my eyes on a couple of things that I would like this Fall. I know I want a new purse, new shoes, and a couple of tops and leggings. I also want a new perfume.

I can't wait for the Fall, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks, scarves, and the holidays around the corner. But, til then, here is a preview of my fall wish list!

Happy Friday!

It's been a long week and I am happy to see the end of it.

Lately I've been having these headaches that won't seem to go away no matter what I do. I'm thinking it may be this cavity I have that's causing it or my neck/back is just incredibly messed up. I want to see the dentist, but I'm not sure how to go about that with Tricare and everything. I also want to see a chiropractor, but I don't think Tricare covers that. This whole week I haven't felt like myself because of these headaches. It's always the same, around my cheekbones, eyes, temples, and the top of my head. I just want them to go away! It's not excruciating pain, just annoying.

Anyway, enough about that... found this "Fill in the Blanks Friday" questionnaire, and thought this would be fun to do! I hope you enjoy it, and again, Happy Friday to you!

1. The last thing I do before going to sleep is kiss my husband, say our goodnight and I love yous.

2. When I can't sleep I read a book, check instagram and facebook on my phone, and toss and turn until I finally go to sleep.

3. The first thing I do when I wake up is go to the bathroom to pee.

4. When I'm tired I fall asleep.

5. My dream bedroom would be big, not sure what colors, but with high ceilings. My bed would be one of those high beds with big fluffy down pillows, a down comforter and mattress that makes you feel like you're just sinking in as soon as you lay there. I would have a big closet, organized. Pictures, candles, and flowers around as decor.

6. If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be in Hawaii with my husband. We would go shopping, eat tons of good food. We would go around the island and play tourist, and wish to never leave.

7. The longest sleep I've ever had was when I was still in high school. Especially during summer break, I would sleep all day, every day.

Imagine.

Do you ever just sit and imagine what your life is going to be like in the next few years? I do.

I find myself, more times than not, sitting and imagining the graphic design career I will some day have, the people that I will encounter. What designs will work on? If my designs will be good enough.

I imagine whatever our future kids will look like. If their spirit will be sensitive like mine or tough like Mike's. Will they have my eyes or his?

I love to imagine. And I think God gave us an imagination for a reason. But in the midst of all the crazy things that are going on in my mind (sometimes all at once!), sometimes I forget to stop and be thankful for what I have now.

I have the most hard-working, loving husband in the world. We have a son that loves us no matter our mood and is happy to see us from up there in heaven. I have a family, sweet friends, food to eat, and a home.

I need to soak it in more. I'm blessed.
